Every year, Ryan Murphy, writer/producer of American Horror Story, gives television its most perplexing, weird, and menacing hour of primetime with American Horror Story.
This season has become one of confusion. Details about this season’s plot and has been kept secret, an approach that is unusual for American Horror Story.
“We just thought it would really be fun to keep it a mystery, so we are; we just thought that would be a nice change after doing things one way for five years,” Said FX president and CEO John Landgraf.
This leaves fans wondering. What is the theme for American Horror story season 6? Well, there are many speculations. The first of many theories by fans is based on the teaser trailers and several interviews given by Murphy. It’s reported that the plot of the season is dealing with cult, farm, orphanage, or the storyline of the Antichrist, which has already been touched on by the series in season one.
Another theory fans have concocted is the idea of the lost Roanoke Colony, also speculating that Murphy is likely to adapt the historical explanation of the settlers disappearance in the colony.
Landgraf reported that the official theme of the cycle will not be revealed until the airing of the first episode, so it seems that the only thing us impatient fans have, is our imaginations. The new season starts back on September 14th, the earliest the series has ever started back.
