Destin Henderson is a senior at Gulf Breeze High School in Mrs. Hoffmans fourth period 3D art class.

Her main work is pottery and clay design. She describes her style as “doughnut-y” due to her hole punching designs into her creations.

Henderson enjoys doing art for many reasons, one of which is “because I grow my patience because it involves a lot of waiting.” she tells me with a laugh.

Henderson says that one of her main inspirations is another Gulf Breeze High School senior named Isabel Curd, who was previously featured as artist of the issue in the GBHS Blue and Gold.

Henderson has been doing art for as long as she can remember but only seriously started studying pottery as recently as sophomore year.

She says that one random fact about herself is that she likes to paint on the walls of her bedroom. “My walls are so many colors, there is not really a theme, unless you count chaos as a theme.”

Henderson strives to go the art program at UWF and based of the work I’ve seen there is no question if she will get in!
