Upcoming Literary Magazine

Emily Walsh, Entertainment Editor

Literary magazine is a continuous publication that started back when the school opened in 1971. Names such as ‘Literary Magazine,’ ‘Voices in the Breeze,’ ‘No Clue,’ and to our current ‘Angle of Reflection,’ it has gone through many names and publications.

It is led by English teacher, Ken Killam.

Elle Bobb, Senior and Editor of our school’s magazine, has been participating in literary magazine for the past few years. Bobb stated, “My favorite thing about lit mag is that it’s a good place for expression in terms of fiction and prose.

It’s a fun, creative publication that highlights the creativity of Gulf Breeze both in art and in writing.”

Bobb has many goals that she wants the magazine to accomplish.

“My goal is always to make sure people have a lot of fun with it and cultivate actual interest in it. It’s fun when students want to submit art and poetry and show real interest in it,” Bobb says.

The 51st issue of the school’s literary magazine and the 2022 issue of the ‘Angle of Reflection,’ will be released on May 13. There have been roughly 45 poems sent in to be reviewed and published for the magazine.

‘Angle of Reflection,’ continues to share students many passions through art and writing. They hope to not only inspire others, but also to encourage them to want to write and express themselves through writing as well.

Each year, the publication looks for eager writers and artists to showcase in the magazine.

The magazine reaches a wide group of people and has been for many years. The publication hopes it continues to reach these people for many years to come.
