Dolphins came roaring back in the second half Friday, September 17, to beat Milton 28-21 on their home turf in a District 1-6A win.

A late fourth quarter turnover and an 80-yard drive put Troy Coughlin within 5-yard striking distance to break the 21-21 tie. This latest win brings the Dolphins to a 4-0 record this season.

This victory comes a week after the Dolphins crushed Northview 50-33.

“That’s the whole part of football sometimes,” said Coach Clayton. “Offense has to help the Defense and the Defense has to help the Offense. So as long as they are scoring we have to keep scoring as well. Hats off to Northview. They played their hearts out. They played hard. It’s a great football team,” said Coach Clayton.

The game opened up with a Northview drive that only resulted in a field goal. Gulf Breeze took the wheel from there. Battle Alberson, Gulf Breeze’s QB threw for 180 yards that night, 2

“It’s one of those games where you get nervous about playing them”, he said. “Because Gulf Breeze is 6A, they’re Northview 1A. You’re supposed to beat them, but man, they give you TDs, and 1 interception. Troy Coughlin received 21 carries and ran the ball for 133 yards and ran for 2 TDs. Carson Hepworth had 3 receptions for 79 yards and 2 TDs.

Gulf Breeze was supported by their home crowd that night that got the adrenaline running and the players fired up to win this game and push through to the next. The Dolphins will play at Milton on the 17th of September.
