After dropping his new song “I Just Might”, first hit of the album, on midnight January 9, Mars scored his first No. 1 debut on the Hot 100, marking his 10th chart-topping hit and placing him among the most accomplished solo male artists in Billboard history, alongside Drake, Stieve Wonder and Michael Jackson.
According to Mr. Solo, Hospitality and Tourism teacher, “I’m excited about his new album but probably not as much as y’all do. I’m talking to the moon, and he told me it’s going to be good.”
This is by far not the only accomplishment of the singer. Just two semesters ago, he ended 2025 having the most world streamed song of the year, “Die with a Smile”, becoming the fastest song ever to reach 1 billion Spotify streams. The track spent 51 weeks in the Top 10 of the weekly Hot 100 and 60 weeks on the chart overall and made history as the first annual Hot 100 Songs #1 duet by a female and male soloist each in lead roles over the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
