The Grammys were postponed once again due to the newest variant of the coronavirus

While being originally scheduled for Jan 31, 2022, the Grammys have been postponed until April 3 because of the sudden growth of Omicron cases, which currently take up 98.3% of COVID cases in America.

Until then, regular fans of the Grammys are stuck speculating who of the chosen nominees will win. Many have guessed Billie Eilish may win her eighth Grammy this year, for her album “Happier Than Ever”. She previously won album of the year for “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”, which made her the youngest artist ever to do so at just 18.

There have even been some surprise nominees, such as ABBA, who never before have been nominated for a Grammy as a group. However, this time around, they have been nominated for record of the year for their comeback single, “I Still Have Faith in You”

An even bigger surprise was Jon Batiste being the biggest leading Grammy nominee, despite his career ascending so fast. But, with eleven nominations, it is almost guaranteed he is to win at least one of them. His follow ups are Justin Bieber and Doja Cat, two big names in the music industry.

Drake was originally to be nominated for Album of the Year for ‘Certified Lover Boy’, but, in the end, was snubbed. However, there is still a chance for him to win a Grammy this year, for Best Rap album and Best Rap Performance for ‘Way 2 Sexy’, which also features Future and Young Thug.
