The Nightmare Before Christmas is Returning to Theaters

Everyone’s favorite Halloween movie, Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” is returning to your local theater this October. This iconic Halloween movie is a part of many people’s spooky-season traditions, so having it play at local theaters is certainly what many are participating in. It is the movie’s 30th anniversary, for coming out in 1983, it still has an impressive amount of people anticipating its arrival to theaters.

To celebrate the movie’s big milestone, Disney is organizing the screening dates of one of their favorite holidays across Canada and the United States starting October 20th. Along with the movie playing in theaters, Disney is also releasing an array of new merchandise to get everyone in the spirit for not just the anniversary, but also the Halloween season. Some of this merchandise includes 30th-anniversary edition collectibles, a new clothing line and a limited-edition Starbucks tumbler. “Fans can also purchase the movie, newly remastered on 4K UHD for the first time, or tune into Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween throughout October. ABC will air The Nightmare Before Christmas on October 22nd at 8 p.m. ET, followed by airings on the Disney Channel on October 28th and December 11th.” These showings, as said by Comicbook, are very much looked forward to by a lot of people.

The airing of this cult classic is sure to get many people excited for the Halloween season, the perfectly creepy and touching storyline has been widely loved for all 30 of its existing years. Getting people into the spirit of Halloween can be hard to do especially since we have not received many new Halloween movies, therefore having this movie played is perfect for the people who have a little more trouble getting into the attitude and mindset of Halloween. The ghoulish aesthetic of this movie makes it a fun family and friends movie as well. Being able to go and watch one of your favorite spooky-season movies at a local theater is very exciting to people because of its light and easy storyline. Getting to spend an evening watching this perfect Halloween movie with friends and family is a memory to make and this year is the perfect year to do it.
