Exam Season is Nearing for GBHS

Exam season can be tough but with plenty of studying and a good nights rest the exam can be just as easy as any other normal assignment.

Exam season can be tough but with plenty of studying and a good night’s rest the exam can be just as easy as any other normal assignment.

  On April 4 and April 6, freshmen and sophomores took the Florida State Assessment, commonly known as FSA, writing test. This exam measures whether students in the state of Florida are making progress in terms of curriculum standards set by the state.

   Juniors will be taking the United States His-tory end of course exam on May 2.

   During the week of May 3, freshmen and sophomores will complete the FSA ELA test. This exam also measures whether students in the state of Florida are making progress in terms of curriculum standards set by the state.

   Algebra I students will take their EOC on May 9 and 10, the latter of which calculators are allowed. Geometry students will take their EOC on May 11 and May 12. Calculators will be allowed on May 12.

   The Biology EOC will be on May 13. This test examines your skills acquired in biology.

   On May 17, US Government students will complete the state Civics Literacy Exam. This exam is required to graduate high school. This test reviews what you’ve learned in US Government.

   Final exams will take place on the final three days of school. For seniors, they are May 18-20, the three days leading up to graduation. For everyone else, they are on May 23-25.

   Make sure you are ready to take these tests. Also make sure you are balancing rest and school. Your wellbeing is important, and you will need to be rested to take these exams.
