The Gulf Breeze High School Football Team, Cheerleading Team, Color Guard, and Soundwave Band celebrated Senior Night during the first home game of the season.

Many students were recognized for their dedication to the extracurricular they represented throughout all of their time doing it at Gulf Breeze High School.

“It was everything I ever hoped it would be,” says senior Zoey Rotenberry. “It was a very heartwarming moment to share with the band.”

While the rest of the band and color guard wore their usual white shirts and khakis, the seniors from the band wore their formal blue uniforms and the seniors from color guard wore sparkly yellow uniforms to differentiate them from the rest of the performers. The senior cheerleaders had fun sashes to wear with their uniforms, too.

Cheerleading and football completed their walks across the field prior to the start of the game, accompanied by family.

“Finally having my turn [to walk across the field], but still really sad, though,” said senior cheerleading captain Ainsley Joyner when asked how it felt to complete the senior walk across the football field. “A really cool experience.”

The band and color guard seniors completed their walks across the field during halftime, before the halftime show.

They were also accompanied by their families as they crossed the field.

“It was my moment,” said senior color guard member Faith Cartledge. “Four years had been recognized, in a sense.”
