The National Football League’s Super Bowl will be played on Sunday, Feb 13, 2022 and held at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA. This will be the 56th Super Bowl (LVI) and the second time in history that a team gets home field advantage during the Super Bowl. The Cincinatti Bengals will face the Los Angeles Rams on the latter’s turf.

   A very small portion of football fans predicted these two teams going in, it was a very unexpected match up when fierce teams like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Kansas City Chiefs were expected to make it. Professional statisticians and analysts on ESPN cannot agree on an obvious winner, they generally all predict a game within 7 points, but a majority is pulling for the Bengals.

   Jordan Reid, an NFL draft analyst, says, “Burrow didn’t lose a playoff game at [Louisiana State University] and has yet to lose a playoff game in the NFL. It seems to be the Bengals’ year to bring home their first Super Bowl title”.

   Yet another NFL analyst, Matt Bowen says “Rams. I like L.A. here given the pass-game structure with Stafford. It’ll be schemed throws to create open voids against zone coverage, plus man matchups with Kupp.” The Rams won a Super Bowl in 2000 and they have been to the Super Bowl four times. The Bengals have never won a Super Bowl and they have been twice.

   Along with the sixty minutes of game time, Super Bowl LVI is sure provide entertainment. Between time on the field, the Super Bowl halftime show will be headlined by artists from Los Angeles native Dr. Dre’s record label. Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Dre himself will take part in the thirteen-minute showcase. Viewers can also enjoy the traditional high budget Super Bowl commercials.

   This year’s Super Bowl will certainly be an interesting one and I personally predict the Rams to win because it will be a close game and they have the assistance of playing of their own turf. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has a strong ability to bring the Rams to success in the game.
