Kaylee King

Senior Camyrn Brooks is a star player for the varsity volleyball team. Brooks has played a total of 112 sets, where she has accumulated 280 kills and 218 digs in her varsity career. Brooks is an outside hitter and defensive specialist (defensive specialist can play any spot on the court). Brooks was selected “Player of the Match” Saturday, Sep. 2 where she had 13 digs and 6 kills to assist her team in a 2-0 win against Spain Park High School in Hoover, Alabama. In addition to the game against Spain Park, Brooks was named player of the match Sunday, Sep. 3 against Pensacola Catholic High School with 5 digs, 1 block, 8 kills, 1 ace and a .412 hitting percentage.

Camryn was recently recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as an elite rising high school senior on the “All-American Watch List.” This award is given out to athletes who demonstrate commitment and perseverance to the sport.

Brooks became involved with volleyball because her mom was a former athlete of the sport.

Alongside her athletic achievements, Brooks maintains an impressive 4.0 gpa off the court. Although unsure of what college she plans on attending, she hopes to play on an athletic scholarship. To watch Brooks and her teammates play, check out the Gulf Breeze Athletic page for the schedule.
