   In the past month the Gulf Breeze Cross Country team has been in two meets. The first was the GBHS Dolphin Mini Meet and the second was the Pace Patriot Invitational.  

   At the home meet, Gulf Breeze went against Navarre and Milton to win the Boys 5K and the Girls 5K. Coming in first place overall for the boys was senior Ronen Lim with a time of 19:26.6. The next two placing dolphins were senior Sean Hoffman with a time of 20:15.1 and junior Samuel Brown with the time 20:43.3. In first overall for the girls was, sophomore Eleanor Goodwin with a time of 24:51.4. The next two lady dolphins to cross the finish line were Zella Tavai senior in 4th place with a time of 25:10.8 and junior Nichole Irby in 6th with the time 25:54.3. 

   There were 18 teams participating in the Pace Patriot Invitational. The top three schools winning overall for the Men’s 5000 Meter race were Niceville, Pensacola Christian Academy and Pace, Gulf Breeze came in eighth. The first Gulf Breeze boy to cross the finish line was Hoffman, with a time of 19:19.1 in 27th place. The second was senior David Clark with a time 19:39.9 placing 36th place and right behind him in 37th was sophomore Elias Narramore with a time of 19:43.2. The top three schools winning overall for the Women’s 5000 Meter race was Pensacola Christian Academy, Niceville and Choctawhatchee; Gulf Breeze came in fifth. The first lady dolphin to cross the finish line of the Women’s 5000 Meter race was freshman Matilda Sullivan with a time of 22:50.1, coming in 20th place. Coming in second and third for the lady dolphins-in 22nd place with the time 22:54.3 was junior Mozelle Powell and in 24th place junior Annie Driskell with the time 23:30.9.  

   The top three teams for the JV Women’s 5000 Meter race were Niceville, Gulf Breeze and Milton. In seventh place, sophomore Asia Lim was the first lady dolphin to finish with a time of 26:29.5. Close behind in eighth place was freshman Liana Kimmell with a time of 27:22.9 and in third was tenth place sophomore Camden Moore finishing in 27:29.9 seconds. The top three schools for the Men’s JV 5000-meter race were Niceville, West Florida and Navarre; Gulf Breeze came in 7th place. The first JV dolphin to finish was 35th place sophomore Daniel Taylor with a time 26:48.5 seconds. The second and third dolphins were 39th place junior Tristan Seeley with the time 27:44.7 and in 41st place was sophomore Xavier Knotts with a time 28:12.7. The dolphins did great for the first few events of the season and make sure to wish them luck for future meets!
