iOS 15 Update takes Charge to Apple iPhone
October 29, 2021
With every big new update, comes big hype. The iOS 15 software update on the Apple iPhone came out on Sept. 20, 2021. The update is compatible with the iPhone 6s and every model released thereafter. It is said to be, “A continuation of iOS 14.”
A cool thing about this major update is that one now has the ability to enable and disable any changes regarding the update making it up to you. This software update is also made up of a bunch of small updates/changes. Producing the new iPhone 13, this update just adds a little bit of sparkle to it.
One of the best changes starts with being able to send a weblink to your android friends so they can join your Facetime call. For iPhone users, this feature is helpful to avoid taking extra time to download an app just to Facetime someone with an android. Another thing about Facetime is that you can now switch to portrait mode which gives you an artistic blurry background just like when you use it for photos. It is said to be, “much better and natural.”
SharePlay is another unique add on. When in a Facetime call, SharePlay lets a group listen to music together, watch a movie or tv show in sync with friends and family; you can also share the screen off your iPhone.
Next up is LiveText. You can use this feature in real time with your camera to identify text, make phone calls, go to websites, and translate from one language to another. You can also LiveText in photos on your phone or on the web by tapping the LiveText icon. LiveText can identify printed text and handwriting. The interface is so clean and easy to use.
Another new update is focus mode also known as, “disturb mode on steroids.” Focus lets you filter notifications based on what you are currently doing. You can organize apps and widget pages on your home screen to match your activity or state of being. When you are using focus, your status automatically displays in messages, so others know not to interrupt you.
Some additional small updates consist of more clothing options in Memoji, new poses, new privacy controls in Siri and mail, and more provide transparency. It also gives you more control over your data. Maps deliver a beautiful redesign with a three-dimensional city experience and augmented reality walking directions. These are just the sum of the other many new features of this major update.
