Olivia Rodrigo Fans Love the Latest Disney Documentary

Olivia Rodrigo’s new documentary is out now on Disney Plus and fans couldn’t wait to watch it.

Singer and songwriter, Olivia Rodrigo, who is most known for her world-famous song “Driver’s License” and her record-breaking album, SOUR, recently released her documentary called “Olivia Rodrigo: driving home 2 U (a SOUR film)”. It is streamed on Disney Plus, where she is also stars in “High school Musical: The Musical: The series” and “Bizaardvark.”

Olivia Rodrigo took her audience on a road trip exploring the story of “SOUR” playing each song live and explaining the stories behind it. Her songs like “Déjà vu,” “Good 4 u”and “Traitor” each in a different meaningful location. Places such as the beach and gas station are where Olivia sung her heart out. The film includes personal footage, revealing interviews, and live performances across the country, and revisits the tough time when she wrote the album.

Olivia shows exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of her album in the making. Showing her vulnerable and emotional side. It was some-thing that she really showed us in her actual album, and now we got to see it being made.

Since Driver’s License was her first single released, before her real shot to fame, she says,” I remember just feeling trapped and kind of, like, flung into this situation that I was not prepared for. It was very, like, overnight. Like, suddenly, everyone is watching you.” She continues to say, “and i’m like, ‘Oh, my god. did I ever want this?’”

Throughout the film, she goes into deep detail and emotion about the writing process of “SOUR”, it being with angst, sadness, anger, worthlessness, and feeling lonely. “Hopefully, I won’t be so sad on the next record.” She is semi-joking to her songwriting partner and producer Dan Nigro in the studio as she leans on the couch, but is acutely self-aware of the heartbreak, angst, and pain she is channeled into the songs they have written together. Some of the songs they have written together were Brutal, Jealousy, Jealousy, and Favorite Crime. Dan Nigro played a big part in the making of the creating each song with Olivia. She mentions how Dan was helpful with the making of the album since he was honest. He would express to Olivia if something were not good or did not sound right.

Seeing the personal side to Olivia’s life in the film was very inspirational. As a young celebrity and public figure, she shows it is okay to be emotional about that guy, and the overall feeling of heartbreak, included in the songs.
