Taylor Swift is a 32-year-old singer from Pennsylvania. At age 11, she sang the “Star Spangled Banner” before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game, the following year she began writing songs with her guitar. She moved to Nashville Tennessee at the age of 14 to start her music career with the stars.
Her parents Andrea Swift, and Scott Kingsley Swift are also both from Pennsylvania. They have always been supportive of Taylors dreams of being a singer.
Swift is known for using her heartbreaks and emotions, relationship wise, to write her songs. During the ACM awards in 2015, Andrea Swift says, “Her dad and I strongly disapproved of this one boy, she was very mad about this, went in her room, and came out an hour later with a song called “Love Story”.
Swift has come out with many albums including, “Taylor Swift” in 2006, “Fearless” in 2008, “Speak Now” in 2010, “Red” in 2012, “1989” in 2014, “Reputation” in 2017, “Lover” in 2019, “Folklore” in 2020, “Evermore” in 2020, and “Midnights” which will be released October of this year.
The inspiration for her most popular album’s name “1989” came from her birth year, she was born December 13th, 1989. She describes the title as a symbolic rebirth of her image and career, to cut ties with her country styled albums she had previously released.
She has won many awards for her music including, a Grammy Award for album of the year, American Music Award for artist of the year, American Country Award, and more.
Taylor Swift was the youngest country music artist to write a #1 song. She was 14 years old when she wrote “Our song” and played it at her 9th grade talent show. The song was #1 on the charts and the music video was named Video of the Year at the CMT music awards in 2008.
Since she has done albums of different styles, it is fair to say that she is a very creative Individual. She writes her own songs from her emotions to cope with situations in her life.
Taylor Swift announced that she will be doing a combined world tour in 2023 for her albums “Lover, folklore, evermore and Midnights”.
Swift has been an inspiration to many young artists and supporters of her. She continues to write and release music for her fans as often as possible and she is so dedicated to making people happy through her voice.
