On October 22, authorities announced that the remains of Brian Laundrie had been identified. The remains were found the day prior and was assumed to be Laundrie based off of its proximity to his personal belongings.

   Laundrie had been on the run for almost a month. He went missing after authorities began to question his involvement with the disappearance of his then girlfriend, Gabby Petito.

   Petitio was a YouTube content creator who documented their journey across the continental U.S. Authorities say that sometime during the last week of Aug., Petito had stop contacting her family and was presumed missing shortly after.

   Laundrie was seen flying into Tampa International Airport alone shortly after she was reported missing.

   After Laundrie landed, he went to his parents house which was searched by FBI but found no sign of Laundrie.
