Getting parking at school is very difficult. If you’re not a senior with your own assigned parking spot. Other concerns and questions have been that sophomores should be able to have parking spots.  

Being that some kids are older than the average “sophomore age” they can have their license but not being able to drive. Many students start their school year being a sophomore and turning the age of getting a license the first month of school.  

Some may not want to take the bus, parents may not be able to take them to school, or since they have privilege to a car, most want to be independent and drive themselves to places.  

Since Juniors Park at the Field house, Seniors have their assigned, unique parking spaces. Even for juniors having to get extra early to school just to have a good parking spot.  

Gulf breeze Highschool has population of 1,797+ students. Taking some away to the students who can’t drive or do not have their license. Advantage to making more parking would help so many students with an expanded parking lot.  

Since Juniors and Seniors have different areas of parking, if Sophomores had a different area of parking it would help them, but clearing some room would be a difficult challenge for Gulf Breeze High School. 

Being able to arrive at school at a reasonable time would so much more helpful to students and not having to get to school an hour, and sometimes maybe even two hours before your school day starts.  

In my Opinion, Sophomore’s should be able to have a parking space because some may have a license but not being able to park. Understanding that Upperclassmen may want to be In their own parking lot because younger drivers may not be as mature.  

Although some rare freshman and common sophomore drivers, shouldn’t be picked on just because they are younger than average drivers.  Some reasons can be understandable.  

Some sophomores may be driving to school but parking at random stores, restaurants, etc. Which is not safe at all which can lead to get towed.  

Students should never be at risk, but should be allowed to have their own freedom driving to and from school.  

Many people have different opinions on this topic but in my opinion, sophomores should have space to pack their own cars but, separated from upperclassmen.
